You:
We’re looking for a Data Science Manager that will shape, lead, and grow a team responsible for designing and implementing cutting edge best practices and ML models. This person will also be responsible for leading Fraud Prevention & AML products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements across Feedzai’s product Solutions and service offerings. Composed of multiple roles, from Fraud/Risk Consultants, to Data Scientists and Data Analysts, this team collaborates across multiple key areas of the company most notably in Customer Success, Product, Sales, Research, and Marketing.
Your Day to Day:
- Ensure successful delivery of Data Science artefacts on large scale clients;
- Effectively understand business objectives and communicating data science insights and progress to a non-technical audience;
- Support the implementation of Feedzai's machine learning algorithm into our client’s data feeds by unblocking issues, providing DS advice, and enforcing DS good practices;
- Contribute to the team knowledge by keeping up with the state-of-the-art in machine learning applied to our domains;
- Provide input to our Product and Research teams based on insights and models developed for individual clients;
- Lead and develop a cross functional team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction and continuous improvement;
You Know-How & Have:
- MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics or similar technical discipline;
- Hands-on experience with big data, machine learning algorithms, and statistical modelling techniques such as classification, decision trees, boosting, and clustering;
- Experience with R/Python and an object-oriented language (Java, C/C++);
- Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, and Pig;
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of data scientists;
- Ability to handle uncertain and complex situations;
- Ability to effectively communicate with both client and data science teams;
- Ability to think pragmatically, listen, and provide team orientation;
- Ability to explore complex data patterns and convert it into insights and actionable plans;
- Experience with building models for fraudulent financial transactions is highly valued;
- Experience working in designing Fraud/AML best practices incorporating automation and ML/AI components is valued;
