Job Description
- Maintain various project schedules using Primavera P6 Project Management Software including those for sub-projects, studies and bids.
- Review and analyse Contractors base schedule and recommend changes to the program to reduce any milestone difficulties, minimize critical paths, and identify interface conflicts.
- Review and analyse contractors WBS and ensure conformity with the Baseline cost and estimating structure. Develop/establish weighting (EWF), progress, KPIs, manpower and equipment deployment.
- Review, analyse, monitor and report progress of Contractors regularly updated progress schedules and forecasts, resource histograms, progress curves and current versus baseline comparisons.
- Ensure incorporation of scope changes and monitor trends to reflect the current project scope.
- Review/reschedule activities not matching the planned duration to minimize or eliminate any impact on the critical path. Report on the impact of any such rescheduled activities.
- Prepare and develop appropriate detail summary project control schedules and incorporate summary level contractor schedules. Analyse and assess key critical paths and the impact on programme.
- Work with project managers and cost engineers and provide appropriate support for finance control, risk and resources allocation and ensure schedule input to the change management procedure.
- Review and audit Contractor related procedures and processes and ensure the integration of scheduling construction site and compatibility with deliveries of drawings, materials and equipment.
- Prepare technical tender evaluations. Prepare various presentation and progress reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with a minimum of 10 years' experience in project planning and scheduling for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 Project Management Software and other relevant project management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts, Work Breakdown Structures, and risk management techniques.
- Experience in handling claims, Extensions of Time (EOT) requests, and conducting forensic schedule analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in technical tender evaluations and bid analysis.
- Knowledge of industry-standard Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and progress measurement techniques.
- Project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or planning (e.g., PMI-SP) certification is highly desirable.
