Patient Services Coordinator - Full Time - Days - Trude Weishaupt Satellite Dialysis Center
Join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens Outpatient Satellite Dialysis Center in Fresh Meadows, NY, as a Patient Services Coordinator. In this role, you will coordinates patient admissions, tracking, medical records and transportation. Schedule and assign work to the clerical staff in order to provide a variety of needed clerical support to various department staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing a variety of duties related to the admission, tracking, charting, and transport of dialysis patients
- Maintaining payroll records
- Preparing reports and providing statistical data
- Directing clerical staff
- Greeting patients, visitors, vendors, and staff with a warm and professional demeanor, maintaining a high level of customer service
- Assisting in the maintenance of the unit's computer system and upkeep of medical records
Exceptional customer service and the ability to foster positive interdepartmental relationships are crucial for success in this role.
This is a full-time role based at our Trude Weishaupt Dialysis Center in Fresh Meadows, NY.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an outpatient dialysis center
- Completion of a business, secretarial, or computer course
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Comprehensive knowledge of office equipment, supplies, and systems
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
- At least 5 years of senior or administrative secretarial experience
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform managerial and clerical functions
- Strong math and grammar skills
- Excellent customer relations, oral, and written communication skills
