Description
The full-time Analytics Engineer will work to support the Project teams with client work. This role will be heavily involved in the implementation and tagging of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) properties primarily through Google Tag Manager (GTM) and other Tag management tools such as Tealium (if necessary). This role will also support the broader teams as appropriate with initiatives including tagging and implementation support for personalization & marketing pixels. The full-time Analytics Engineer will demonstrate and hone skills in auditing and implementing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, adhering to general digital analytics best practices.
Role and Responsibilities
ØWork with clients, under the direction of the Senior Analytics Consultant/Lead/Director of Analytics to provide both ad-hoc and project-based support for those clients.
ØOperate within Jira Service Management, part of the Atlassian suite of tools, fielding requests.
ØConfigure GA4 properties according to best practices.
ØCreate GA4 documentation, providing data layer & other tracking specifications to app/web development teams.
ØMandatory QA and test GA4 implementations - including app and web data streams
ØBuild smart, efficient implementations through tag management solutions, including Google Tag Manager.
ØAbility to troubleshoot and isolate potential GA4 data collection issues.
ØEstablished domain expertise in clients’ business space to drive results.
ØDemonstrate a grasp of the fundamental importance of clean data to empower successful digital marketing initiatives, in support of larger business objectives.
ØEnsure client expectations are met and results are delivered.
ØArticulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in speech and writing.
ØCultivate and manage relationships at the company and among the team.
ØCollaborate with the team lead and project teams in a manner consistent with our culture and values.

Preferred Qualifications
ØA degree in IT, Digital Marketing Analytics, or related field plus internship experience in digital analytics.
ØExperienced with Google Analytics 4 and has implemented, configured, and customized the tool.
ØDeployed Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager.
ØHas focused on one or more of the following areas: digital analytics, analytics implementation, and/or marketing analytics.
ØUnderstand how to read and interpret reports.
ØFundamental knowledge of GA4/Firebase app tracking.
ØBaseline knowledge of HTML/JavaScript with regards to isolating and manipulating DOM elements.
ØCan speak to big data and know what's possible regarding activation.
ØExposure or working knowledge of other tag management systems (i.e. Segment, Tealium, etc.) is a plus!
ØExperience with BigQuery or have used data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI is also a plus!
