Job Title: Business Process Designer

Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week

Job Status: Fixed term for 6 months, with possibility for extension

Location: Home based with the expectation of some travel within England

Salary: £52,575.15 per annum.

Closing Date: 13th May 2025

Internally we call this role Service Designer. The above job title is being used for external advertising purposes.

We're looking for a Service Designer to play a key role in our organisation-wide transformation programme. You'll be responsible for designing new internal processes and ways of working that align with our strategic goals and maximise our impact across the adult social care sector.

Bringing strong problem-solving skills, confident facilitation, and a structured yet flexible approach, you'll help shape how Skills for Care operates. You’ll work across teams to understand current practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and design solutions that are both practical and sustainable.

You’ll engage colleagues at all levels, bringing together insights to create integrated ways of working that really stick. You’ll also make sure new approaches are clearly documented, well-communicated, and embedded into day-to-day operations.

Drawing on your expertise in service design, user-centred thinking, and process mapping, you’ll advocate for user needs and design solutions that deliver real value for internal and external users. You’ll proactively build relationships, lead workshops, and drive decisions that lead to meaningful change.
