Our larget global software cleint are looking for a project manager with a track record of solving complex and cross functional business challenges to join the team.
This candidate will execute the projects set by the Medium Segment governance committee, utilizing the approach and execution strategies set by the Business Operations leader. Our ideal candidate has experience thinking out of the box to solve challenges within the SaaS industry, executing plans to completion and remotely leading large teams across different time zones.
Role Responsibilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to navigate ideas and opportunities, assess needs, and define desired outcomes and goals to achieve cross-functional alignment on operational, marketing, and business aspects of the plan
• Lead cross-functional groups (across sales, service, marketing, product, content, finance, legal, BI/Ops) through collaboration and advocacy to evaluate ideas, move workstreams forward, meet deadlines, and ensure alignment throughout the process
• Create and lead executive presentations and communications on top business unit initiatives
• Ensure that all business operations plans are delivered on-time and on-strategy by enabling and driving communication and execution with cross-functional teams
• Proactively manage quality control of deliverable messaging and positioning with a holistic understanding of the project scope, removing escalations to ensure cohesive and on-time market entry
• Leverage the business operations strategy to create and execute project plans, tailoring as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements while managing the operational aspects of the project and scope
• Act as a hyper-collaborative partner that can lead through influence by building strong relationships and personal credibility across the organization
Requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience in project management, product management or commercialization management, or related experience is strongly preferred
• Robust project management skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate discussion and team cohesion
• Strategic thinker that learns through discovery and isn’t afraid to fail fast, have their ideas challenged
• Able to exercise independent judgment to identify and evaluate complex problems and implement solutions
• Superb interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to handle challenging conversations with tact and diplomacy
• Task and deadline-oriented with the ability to identify and communicate any gaps or roadblocks, and to set priorities proactively and quickly
• Focused on results while keeping the desired outcomes and goals top of mind
• Able to gain alignment and drive action through effective communication and influence
• Must possess exceptional organization, time management, and presentation skills
Additional Qualifying information:
- Experience with commercialization / bringing products to market, go to market. This role will support the ERP vertical so that's a plus as well.
- This role is a stop gap based on a staff departure - this role will support GTM M&A integration activities for the ERP vertical. Will also stafff some product GTM work.
- Working methodologies: They are less into formal methodologies. The actual is somewhat in the middle of Waterfall and Agile. They want someone who knows how to get things done and knows how to think / pivot as needed.
- They stated "We're archaic in our PjM tools unfortunately. Still never fully recovered from the loss of Smartsheets. We mostly use excel and ppt."
- Experience build new initiatives from ground up, working across matrixed environments, risk mitigation and ability to pivot, strong communicator.
- They can't invest significant time upskilling a contractor so are looking for someone who can plug and play.
