The Senior Advisor Financial Planning and Analysis oversees the budgeting and monthly forecasting process for the North American Power assets while performing variance analysis at a project level. The Senior Advisor also is responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of sophisticated financial planning and analysis (FP&A) deliverables to the finance leaders of Power Operations.

What You Will Do:
Prepare and present complex FP&A deliverables and business analysis to the finance leaders of Power Operations (in a manner that is easy to understand, conceptualize, and operationalize). The following reports and analyses are utilized by the leaders to make critical business decisions:
Budgets and LRP
Monthly Forecasts
Monthly Financial Summary (MFS)
Monthly Financial Outlook Slides
Headwinds/Tailwinds
Flash Report
Modelling
Prepare monthly and quarterly deliverables for external stakeholders
Communicate and answer questions from senior leaders, which requires specialized knowledge, expertise, and experience related to financial planning and analysis, modelling, International accounting standards, GAAP and non-GAAP requirements, and North American Wind and Solar developments.
Coordinate FP&A functions related to the North American Power entities which involves a combination of performing analysis, as well as coordinating and integrating the work performed by staff.
Review all monthly operating reports, as well as monthly accruals, for North American Power entities to understand the variance drivers.
Prepare consolidated view of the annual North American budgets, with the ability and knowledge to understand, analyze and extrapolate data from project models.
Work closely with Power Operations, Asset Performance, Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy, Tax and Treasury to provide support and analysis related to the North American Assets.
Ensure compliance with SOX controls and related reporting requirements.
Foster innovation, establish plans, and lead change that has a positive impact at the team and organizational level.
Demonstrate a breadth of knowledge across Finance to understand the scope and impact of business decisions to effectively integrate other internal stakeholders objectives and requirements.
Problem-solve effectively and make sound, disciplined decisions independently
Demonstrate leadership by coaching and mentoring individuals at the team and organizational level.
Who You Are:
Required
Strong communication skills (written and oral); able to work well virtually with team and other stakeholders in multiple time zones across North America.
Six or more years of directly related accounting experience.
CPA or other professional accounting designation.
Positive attitude and proven team player, demonstrating a high level of cooperation and mutual respect.
Excellent organization, planning, and analytical skills.
Strong financial system skills; experience with various financial accounting systems and applications.
Ability to convey highly technical messages in a way other stakeholders can understand and operationalize.
Ability to research, investigate, analyze, reconcile and evaluate all financial data and make sound decisions.
Ability to apply broad business, industry and technical knowledge in resolving problems.
Strong knowledge of accounting within the renewable power sector.
