Network Engineer
At TEKsystems we are working with a defense organisation that covers advanced research, design and manufacturing.
Our client covers the entire life cycle of nuclear warheads; from initial concept, assessment and design, through to component manufacture and assembly, in-service support, and finally decommissioning and disposal.
They are providing supercomputing and related services to our client, they also use Shasta River, for research and simulation needs related to nuclear defense and security.
We are tasked with reviewing their networks which cover 2 levels - High security and low security.
Within this network, there are a range of different kits and connections, switches and firewalls. Lots of HP switches and Aruba. Mixed firewalls including Juniper.
The right engineer will have a mixed network background (cisco/Juniper/HP/F5/Aruba/Fortinet), experienced with VLANs and NSXt virtual networks and security.
You will be able to review the network, do discovery phase and plan the migration on the back of this. They will then migrate the networks across to a cloud solution.
The work is a 2 year programme and the engineer will get a 3 month rolling contract.
