What you will be doing as a Product Development Manager?

Shape and lead the full product development lifecycle—from early-stage ideation and concept development through to launch and commercial success.
Identify long-term innovation opportunities and potential risks through strategic market analysis and industry forecasting.
Conduct in-depth market, consumer, and competitor research to uncover emerging trends, customer needs, and whitespace opportunities.
Translate insights into commercially viable product ideas, concepts, and prototypes that align with business goals.
Manage and prioritise a dynamic innovation pipeline, presenting concepts and progress to senior stakeholders with clarity and impact.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, commercial, and supply chain teams to bring products to market efficiently and effectively.
Refresh and enhance existing product lines to align with evolving consumer demands, sustainability targets, and performance benchmarks.
Monitor product performance post-launch, capturing feedback from key stakeholders—including contractors and architects—to inform continuous improvement.
Actively promote a culture of innovation across the organisation, fostering collaboration, creativity, and a customer-first mindset.
Sometimes may need to go to industry events and trade shows to keep up with trends in the market.

Skills needed to be a Product Development Manager?

Extensive experience in product innovation, development, or brand management—preferably within the construction or building materials industry.
Deep understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle management and the execution of effective go-to-market strategies.
Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to extract actionable insights from market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor analysis.
Innovative thinker with a keen eye for identifying opportunities and turning research into compelling product concepts.
Highly organised with strong project management capabilities, ensuring timely delivery across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build influence and align stakeholders at all levels.
Self-driven and solutions-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
