As a BI Analyst you will assist in the provision and control of financial and non-financial management information needed to support Spire Healthcare PLC. Working within Hospital Finance, you will ensure that a seamless efficient service is delivered to our internal customers, providing relevant and accurate information to the appropriate audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Shall include but are not limited to:
- Responding appropriately to ad hoc requests from internal customers for information needed to support understanding and analysis of BAU areas of the Business.
- Developing self service or scheduled reporting using BI tools where appropriate.
- Documenting requests for larger pieces of new reporting requirements in line with the process developed by the BI Technical Analyst. Reviewing the requirements documentation with the BI Technical Analyst.
- Developing reporting to support the needs of the business using the most appropriate BO tool for the user/report.
- Peer testing new reports developed by the BI team to ensure that they fit the business requirement they were meant to address successfully.
- Agreeing, conducting and documenting testing of new reporting in line with testing protocol developed by BI Technical Analyst & BW Team.
- Assisting in the development of reporting for new Business Objects tools. Removing old reports if they are superseded by this and ensure this is communicated to end users through the business liaison if appropriate to do so.
- Training and supporting end users in the use of appropriate Business Objects tools. Ensuring end users are aware of data sources, any data limitations or caveats around its use.
- Promoting use of the Business Objects portal across the business where possible.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent PC skills and high standard of skill within data manipulation and reporting.
- Experience of developing reports using SAP Business Objects and Business Warehouse.
- Advanced Excel skills as well as strong MS Office working skill set
- Ability to interpret results and appropriate course of action. Including being able to analyse large volumes of data and interpreting these into concise reports.
- Experience of accounting systems, report writing skills, knowledge of basic accountancy
- Demonstrable skills of working in a Data Analyst role.
- Previous experience of Crystal Reports, WEBI, Dashboards/Lumira, BEX queries, BW, EPM and SAP.
- Appreciation of data warehouse design, preferably SAP BW.
- Educated to degree standard, or equivalent.
