PMRS are seeking an experienced Client facing Project Manager, the role will require you to interface with contractors, attend CDM meetings and act as Clients Representative in all meetings. You will ensure that expectations are maintained and have a good understanding of CDM.
As the Project Manager you will feed and report on progress, review, manage risk and ensure the leadership team are informed of emerging risks.
We seek an individual who has experience in District Heating, Utilities or is Mechanical biased and understands the challenges contractors face.
You will be working with contractors to ensure Health & Safety is at the forefront and that everyone understands their responsibilities. You will work closely with the contractors to ensure works are to programme and identify areas of improvement to deliver the works.
To note, the role will be for 12 months with option to be made permanent.
Responsibilities
- Pre construction.
- Health & Safety.
- Ensuring installation is to specification/design.
- Ensuring the projects are on time, cost and quality.
- Creating and updating project documents.
- Reporting on KPI’s.
- Creating of ITT’s.
- Risk identification and risk management.
- Monitor project deliverables.
- Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress.
- Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them.
Experience
- Experience in client project management position or construction position
- Demonstrable experience in construction projects (District Heating, Utilities and/or Mechanical preferred)
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft; Excel, Word, Project, Outlook etc.
- Contractural knowledge and understanding of programmes
Qualifications
- Project management qualification or willing to works towards (APM, Prince2, or PMI)
- SMSTS and/or IOSH
- CDM Knowledge
- Temporary Works
- Street Works, Civils, O&M, Water Quality, Welding, District Heating experience all preferred.
