Brandeis University is seeking a Web Content and Analytics Specialist to enhance the online user experience through effective content management, analytics reporting, and search engine optimization. This role will analyze website performance, provide data-driven insights, and optimize sites for usability, accessibility, and SEO.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Communications, the Web Content and Analytics Specialist will be part of the web team within the Marketing Communications Office, working closely with university stakeholders to maintain a high-quality web presence.
ESSENTIAL & OTHER FUNCTIONS
Digital Marketing Analytics (50%)
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) & Tag Management: Manage GA4 properties, set up custom dimensions, and track key user interactions and conversion events.
User Behavior Analysis & Reporting: Partner with key areas across campus to analyze GA4 data, generate reports, and provide insights to improve user engagement and content strategy.
Data Visualization & Dashboards: Develop reports in tools such as GA4 and Looker Studio to communicate key website performance indicators to stakeholders.
Content Management (50%)
CMS Management & Updates: Use Cascade CMS to maintain and update web pages, ensuring consistency in branding, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
Content Organization & Governance: Structure and categorize web content for improved usability and searchability while maintaining compliance with WCAG guidelines.
Quality Assurance & Audits: Conduct regular content audits to ensure web pages remain relevant, accessible, and engaging for users.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, data analytics, computer science, information technology or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in web content management, analytics, and/or digital strategy.
Experience managing and updating web content within a Content Management System (Cascade CMS preferred). HTML, CSS and web accessibility experience are a plus.
Proficiency in web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio; demonstrated experience creating dashboards and reports with these tools.
Expertise in analyzing user behavior data and translating insights into website improvements.
Knowledge of digital accessibility best practices and WCAG guidelines, SEO principles, keyword research, and metadata optimization.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience working in higher education or a similar institutional environment.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, photo editing software and web accessibility testing tools a plus.
